CUTI CUTI 1MALAYSIA ON 2 WHEELS: BIG BIKE 2011 RALLY "NORTH EAST EXPEDITION"
Today marks yet another milestone for tourism in Malaysia with the launching and flag-off of the Cuti-Cuti 1 Malaysia On 2 Wheels: Big Bike Rally 2011 “North East Expedition” at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel by Haji Abdul Khani Daud of Tourism Malaysia representing Dato Haji Azizan Noordin, Acting Director General, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board.
Organized by Big Bike Rentals & Tours (Malaysia) in association with Tourism Malaysia, this interesting and inaugural program had the entourage of 48 big bikers and 30 support, documentation and management team travel more than 1,800 kilometers through Putrajaya, Perak, Penang, Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang in 7 days.
Started on 4th December from Putrajaya Marriott Hotel and ending at the popular National Elephant Conservation Centre at Kuala Gandah on 10th December 2011, the entourage enjoyed rides via highways, hilly and coastal routes visiting places of attractions and getting to enjoy special food treats and stay at hotels, resorts and homestays.
With the support of Tourism Malaysia, this program will create the foundation for a specially produced 7-episodes (English version) Cuti-Cuti 1 Malaysia On 2 Wheels Travelogue Program by RTM and will be broadcast during Prime Time (9.00pm to 9.30pm) every Monday from 27th December 2011.
According to Haji Abdul Jamil Bin Hasan, the founder of this Big Bike Rally, the event has created additional awareness for more people who would want to travel on big bikes for the holidays and would also kick start a marketing program to encourage more in-bound tourists who would want to rent big bikes during their holiday time in Malaysia.
